Introducing Meteora: A cosmic survival racer for PS VR2 https://ift.tt/9i1F7HO

Meteora, the debut title from Big Boot Games, thrusts you into the heart of interstellar chaos, where you are not just a traveler, you are The Meteor. Defy gravity, outrun the chaos, and carve your own path through the cosmos in this electrifying action-racer, built for adrenaline lovers and space enthusiasts alike. It’s your race of survival against spacetime.

An odyssey across the stars

You control a Meteor blazing through the vast cosmos, navigating treacherous celestial terrain to ensure your survival. Precision and quick reflexes are your greatest allies as you steer past dynamic hazards and colossal astral obstacles on the journey to each level’s end. Every stage presents a unique sub-objective that must be conquered to unlock the exit portal.

Each Meteora run is an opportunity to sharpen your skills, push your limits, and climb the ranks. Face the challenge, chase the high scores, and etch your name among the cosmic elite on the leaderboards.

Speed, strategy, survival

Meteora is more than just a high-speed combat racer, it’s an unforgiving test of instinct and precision. Every second demands split-second strategy and decisions as you navigate explosive asteroids belts, electrically charged debris, and icy barriers that threaten to freeze your momentum.

But fear not, the universe does throw lifelines. Scattered throughout space are Energy Crystals to increase your mass, and Stardust to push your velocity to the limit. Do you hoard mass for durability or fuel for raw acceleration? The landscape shifts with every level, leaving you with only one choice – adapt; here, balance is everything.

But you are not alone on this path. The most unpredictable hazards in Meteora are the other meteors on your path, each with its own elemental composition and unique abilities. Every meteor that crosses your path presents an opportunity or a threat. Some are rivals, some are fuel for your journey, but all are obstacles in your pursuit for survival. Harnessing their energy is the only option you have.

Master the takedown

Combat in the Meteora cosmos is fast and ruthless. Executing takedowns on rival Meteors is a rush! Flawless takedowns grant you momentary invincibility, allowing you to tear through space unchallenged while also presenting a perfect tool for split-second decision-making thrills.

Not every meteor is hostile though. Some offer valuable resources. Some bolster your mass. Some restore your fuel. And volatile meteors summon unpredictable hazards.

From cascading obstacles to Astral Spirits that mimic organic life; Survival isn’t just about speed. It’s about understanding the chaos that you are a part of.

Total immersion in PS VR2

Feel the scale of space like never before. Meteora leverages PlayStation VR2’s features to deliver an unparalleled experience. With motion controls designed for the PS VR2 Sense controllers, the game fully utilizes the haptic feedback and high-resolution display, making every collision, chase, and planetary impact feel intensely real.

In VR, Meteors loom larger, black holes are more ominous, and every takedown feels like a moment of pure cosmic dominance.

When it comes to space racing and high-impact collisions, Meteora delivers an unparalleled sense of immersion, thanks to the advanced haptic technology of the PS5 DualSense and PS VR2 Sense controllers. Every collision, rumble, and crackle has been meticulously integrated into controller feedback, allowing players to feel the roughness of the cosmic terrain while visually floating through the vastness of space.

The meteor boost rumble, synced with adaptive triggers, gives a realistic sensation of controlling an untamed force of nature. As speed modes and power-ups shift, the triggers tighten and release, reflecting the intensity of acceleration and deceleration. The tactile experience extends to electrification and freezing effects, making these moments truly visceral.

One of our favorite sensations is tailgating enemy meteors. The faint yet distinct rumbles mimic the fiery heat of an opponent’s trail, adding a subtle but impactful layer of immersion that only the Sense controllers can achieve.

Beyond realism, we’ve designed the controls to feel intuitive and effortless, ensuring players exert minimal effort for maximum fun. Since no one truly knows what piloting a meteor feels like, we’ve abandoned traditional steering mechanics. Instead, we aimed for a fluid, organic movement system, making the experience as natural as possible because being a meteor should be instinctive, not complicated.

With haptics, adaptive triggers and 3D Audio integration, Meteora transforms space racing into an experience you can see, hear, and feel.

VR or flat screen- The choice is yours

Meteora is designed to provide a seamless experience, whether played in VR or non-VR. Players will receive the full adventure regardless of their preference. Whether in immersive VR or traditional flat screen mode, Meteora delivers the full experience. With a comprehensive suite of accessibility features, Meteora ensures no player is left behind on this celestial thrill ride.

Wishlist today to join the race against space time

Meteora is our homage to old school action arcade games and a different take on the action racing genre. We can’t wait to share this out of the world journey with you.

Gear up for this meteoric adventure that puts you right at the heart of the cosmos next year.

An exclusive look at Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree’s perilous encounters

An exclusive look at Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree’s perilous encounters

An exclusive look at Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree’s perilous encounters https://ift.tt/EQF1aLe

Today we’re excited to share new details on some of the darker threats players will encounter on their journey through Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, a new roguelite where bonds, blades, and bravery decide the fate of all.

Roguelite fans will appreciate the depth of gameplay while being immersed in an all-new hand-drawn world with unique mechanics involving ability switching and simultaneously using the power of two guardians in combat either in single player or co-op.

For those new to this mystic realm, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree follows the priestess Towa & the eight guardians who must protect the world from the evil god, Magatsu. Blessed by the living sacred tree, Shinju, the guardians must stop the god of corruption that seeks to unify the world through his own twisted vision rooted in domination and decay. To do this, he has created an entire race of beings called Magaori; lifeforms that reject human empathy and instead spread miasma wherever they tread.

As you traverse this corrupted world with your two selected guardians, you’ll discover perilous and unique areas that will require skill and coordination. Beyond standard zones designed for combat and exploration, you’ll face a variety of Special Areas, each with unique mechanics, dangers, and rewards.

In this post, we’re exclusively diving deeper into three of them: Malignant Chambers, Wanderers, and the ominous Boss Chambers. Find out more and see a first look at concept art of the Wanderers and Magatsu-hi Ensa.

Malignant Chambers – purify the miasma

Within these tainted chambers, players will confront Magafushu, a grotesque creature born from concentrated miasmic sludge. The longer it festers, the more it poisons the land around it.

Your goal? Cleanse the chamber by defeating Magafushu and dispelling the noxious fog it has unleashed. It’s a brutal fight that will continuously spawn Magaori (Magatsu’s minions) until you defeat the Magafushu, but purifying these zones will grant access to deeper areas of the world and greater rewards.

Wanderers – duel the ronin

Scattered across the world are lone warriors known simply as Wanderers. These enigmatic individuals are always searching for a worthy rival. Cross paths with one, and you’ll be challenged to a duel of honor and skill.

Besting a Wanderer not only earns you rare materials and powerful upgrades it’s also a rite of passage, marking your strength in the eyes of the gods. Don’t underestimate them. They’ve walked this world longer than most.

Boss Chambers – enter the domain of Magatsu-hi

The most perilous areas in Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree are the Boss Chambers, sacred arenas where gods clash and destinies are forged.

Your first major test lies in facing the First Route Boss:

Ensa’s chamber is guarded by elite protectors, warriors shaped by Magatsu’s influence. You’ll need to overcome them before you can confront the god himself.

Prepare for the trials ahead

Whether you’re purifying Malignant Chambers, dueling legendary Ronin, or challenging gods in Boss Chambers, one thing is clear: the road ahead is steeped in danger. Gather your Guardians. Sharpen your blades. And don’t forget that the Sacred Tree’s light may guide you, but Magatsu’s shadow is always near.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree comes to PlayStation 5 on September 19, 2025. Until then, keep your spirit strong!

If you’ve dreamed of what it might feel like to ride a superbike at full throttle, knee to the asphalt, engine roaring, speeding like a rocket. With VRider SBK coming to PlayStation VR2 on June 27, that dream is about to become a reality.

See it in action.

VRider SBK races onto PS VR2 June 27

What’s in VRider SBK?

VRider SBK ignites the thrill of Superbike Racing on PlayStation VR2. Whether you’re chasing the podium or just the thrill of the ride, VRider SBK drops you into the heart of the officially licensed Superbike World Championship. Lean into every corner and blast down straights at over 200 mph across 14 real-world tracks, including Cremona and Estoril, alongside 23 official riders.

Ride five elite machines: Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda, and Yamaha using next-gen gesture-based controls designed for immersive VR. Go head-to-head in global PvP multiplayer, dominate the solo Tournament mode, or challenge the clock in Ghost races. With its unique “simcade” gameplay blend, VRider SBK delivers blistering speed, unforgiving realism, and pure two-wheeled exhilaration.

Built different for PS VR2

We’ve optimized the game with a specific quality setting to ensure a stable frame rate and smooth bike control. In racing games, motion sickness is primarily caused by input lag, the delay between controller actions and what’s rendered in the headset. This is often a result of demanding physics simulations, which require a consistently solid frame rate to avoid discomfort.

In the PS VR2 version, players can expect a range of exclusive features, including improved bike models, an animated skybox, more realistic tarmac, an animated crowd featuring flags and smoke bombs, as well as additional enhancements. This new version will also contain new, enhanced buildings and props in newly polished circuits, along with fully 3D trees, grass, and terrain transitions (e.g., gravel to sand and vice versa).

There’s more! VRider SBK’s PS VR2 version will also feature two additional tracks: Estoril and Cremona, which have been added to the circuit selection. The game will support PS VR2 Trophies and offer fully customizable visual quality profiles. In the single-player game mode, up to 23 players can ride on a single track. Isn’t that amazing?

Feel every turn: PS VR2 delivers the real rush

The computational power of the PS VR2 has allowed us to bring the scene to life and significantly enhance the realism of the race. A new rendering pipeline, compared to the initial release on other platforms, has enabled a much higher level of visual fidelity. What truly elevates the sense of presence and immersion, however, is the inclusion of 22 AI riders, representing the full championship roster. It’s now a real challenge to beat them all and become the new tournament champion!

Strap In. Burn rubber. Be legendary

This project was created with great passion and love. Some key members of the team are motorcyclists, and many bring real-life racing experience to the table. VRider SBK is a heartfelt tribute to a passion many of us have nurtured since childhood.

The development team is proudly Italian, and Italy is world-renowned for its mechanical heritage and passion for engines. We’ve got our fair share of wild stories: from an illegal ride on a Superbike as a teenager without a license, to swapping tuned bikes, all the way to our Game Director, who keeps a garage with three motorcycles, one completely custom.

To paraphrase a well-known book in the industry, at Funny Tales, we’ve poured in blood, sweat, and not just pixels — but pure bike passion.

The track is yours. Own every corner.

Sharpen your blade, Undead Citadel arrives June 26 on PS VR2

Sharpen your blade, Undead Citadel arrives June 26 on PS VR2 https://ift.tt/KHAkC6u

Hey Slayers – the wait is almost over! After a long journey, Undead Citadel is finally making its way to PS VR2 on June 26.

This game has been a long-time passion project for us. We set out to make something that really feels like you’re in the middle of a gritty, undead-infested world — where every swing, block, and stab actually matters. No button mashing, no floaty physics. Just you, your weapon, and whatever’s crawling towards you.

Sharpen your blade, Undead Citadel arrives June 26 on PS VR2

What is Undead Citadel?

At its core, it’s a first-person action game where you fight through a plague-ridden medieval world overrun by the undead. You’ll be fighting your way through a plague-ridden citadel using over 75 different weapons — from swords and axes to bows and even war hammers. You’ll also find four wild potions — slow down time, supercharge your strength, or freeze enemies in their tracks mid-charge. It’s chaotic in the best way.

The game features a full story campaign with handcrafted levels, puzzles, and lore to discover. We also included Horde Mode (endless waves, score chasing, chaos) and an Armory where you can test every weapon you’ve found in a sandbox environment.

Built for VR, optimized for PS VR2

We designed everything from the ground up for virtual reality. Combat is fully physics-based with 1:1 hand movement and almost zero delay — when you swing your arm, that’s exactly what happens in-game. Every impact has real weight, every parry matters, and every mistake has consequences.

PS VR2’s precise tracking and responsive haptics make a huge difference. Whether you’re dodging a sword, blocking with a shield, or nailing a headshot with your last arrow, it all feels smooth, immersive, and intense.

Smoother slashing, fewer headaches: thank you, 90Hz!

Undead Citadel will run at 90Hz, allowing players to experience more natural and responsive motion when turning or dodging. It makes the world feel more “real,”  especially crucial when the player is physically interacting with enemies in intense melee encounters.

Not to mention, for players sensitive to VR, 90Hz is a sweet spot for comfort, providing smooth locomotion and rapid movements, which come in handy when playing the Horde Mode.

Why the PS VR2 Version hits different

Undead Citadel on PS VR2 takes full advantage of the hardware to make everything feel just a bit more real, in ways you might not even notice at first, but definitely feel.

The adaptive triggers add subtle resistance as you grip a weapon, like when sliding your hand along a sword’s handle or pushing buttons in menus. It’s a small detail, but it adds a tactical feel to your interactions, making a huge difference inside the game.

Then there’s headset haptics — for example, when you take damage, you’ll feel a quick pulse that adds a physical edge to the action. It’s not overdone, just enough to add a sense of presence. It’s one of those features you don’t realize you appreciate… until it’s not there.

Both of these features, adaptive triggers and headset haptics, are exclusive to the PS VR2 version, and we’re delighted with how they enhance immersion.

Get ready to face the Undead

We’ve put a tremendous amount of effort and care into this one, and we hope you’ll feel that when you play it. Thank you for all the support and patience along the way. We hope Undead Citadel gives you a combat experience unlike anything else in VR.

Wishlist now to face the Undead like never before. Undead Citadel will be available from June 26, 2025, for $29.99!

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 arrives July 2

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 arrives July 2

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 arrives July 2 https://ift.tt/3SsRQU4

Dear Trailblazers, greetings from the Honkai: Star Rail development team. It’s been a while, we’ve truly missed you. Today, we bring you the latest news from Version 3.4, “For the Sun is Set to Die,” arriving officially on July 2. As the trailblazing expedition reaches its dramatic peak in Amphoreus, the Chrysos Heirs are pouring their last strength into securing one final, precious moment — so that you, the Trailblazer, and Phainon may deliver the last Coreflame to the Vortex of Genesis. Now, the path ahead has been revealed. Only one final step remains before Era Nova.

Let’s pick up where we left off — the fog shrouding Amphoreus’s skies gradually clears, revealing a cruel truth: this world is far more complex than it seems. As unveiled at the end of Version 3.3, the root of Amphoreus’s tragedy lies in an “Emperor’s Scepter” enduring to the present. However, the events that follow have transcended Amphoreus’s borders. The waves of “Era Nova” may sweep across the cosmic shores, and amidst this torrent, every choice the Trailblazer makes could determine the fate of the entire universe.

A new ally ignites the Galactic Trail

In the upcoming main storyline, the long-awaited Phainon will finally become a playable character and join the Trailblazer’s team. A native of Aedes Elysiae, he was one of the first Chrysos Heirs in Amphoreus to extend a hand of goodwill to the Trailblazer. Even in the darkest hours, he stood tall to shield others from harm. But behind his calm and gentle demeanor lies the weight of countless hopes and expectations. In Version 3.4, players will venture deep into Aedes Elysiae as the Trailblazer to uncover Phainon’s past — how he set foot on the Flame-Chase Journey, how he rose to become a warrior, and how those trials shaped who he is today.

During combat, Phainon can accumulate “Coreflames” through various means. Once he reaches a certain number of “Coreflames,” he can unleash his Ultimate to transform and create a “Territory,” battling enemies in a powerful new form. His combat power greatly increases. While transformed, allies will be temporarily Departed, but their buff effects remain active. Upon transforming using “Coreflames,” Phainon unlocks new abilities, channeling the powers of the Creation, Calamity, and Foundation Titans. It’s worth mentioning that when Phainon is in the team, the team’s Technique Point cap increases. His Technique can instantly defeat normal enemies within a certain range without triggering combat. This will make exploring the map and adventuring across worlds much easier.

Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collaboration event

Beyond Amphoreus, an extraordinary tale is about to unfold in Penacony. Recently, Trailblazer received a mysterious letter from Old Oti, head of the Alfalfa Family, an invitation to join a special entertainment program called “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War.” This Holy Grail War will take place in Penacony, where seven invited participants will summon historical figures as Servants to fight alongside them. In addition to the Trailblazer, familiar names like Aventurine, Mr. Boothill, and Miss Robin will also appear as contestants. At the same time, three legendary Heroic Spirits will respond to the Holy Grail’s call: Saber, Archer, and Lancer. How will this dazzling and unpredictable “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail War” unfold? Who will form a contract with whom? The Trailblazer can uncover all these mysteries firsthand. The Honkai: Star Rail × Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collab special story — Trailblaze Continuance “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail” and the event “Fate/stay night” will officially go live on July 11. Stay tuned!

It is also worth noting that Saber will be joining as a playable character in this collaboration. Saber is a 5-star Wind-type character following the Path of Destruction. Her Ultimate, “Excalibur,” deals massive Wind DMG to all enemies and converts her Basic ATK into an enhanced Basic ATK that also targets all enemies. During combat, Saber can accumulate “Core Resonance” through her Technique, Basic ATKs, or when allies use their Ultimates. Once she accumulates enough, she will immediately gain an extra action. Using her Skill at this moment consumes all accumulated “Core Resonance,” increases the Skill’s damage, and instantly refills the Energy required for her Ultimate.

At the same time, Archer will also be available as a playable character to assist players in battling powerful enemies during the Holy Grail War and the subsequent cosmic adventures. Archer is a Quantum-type character following the Path of the Hunt, skilled at dealing sustained single-target damage through repeated Skill use. When his Skill is activated and he enters the “Circuit Connection” state, casting the Skill will not end his turn. He can continue to use it until all Skill Points are depleted. With each additional cast, the damage increases accordingly. Upon using his Ultimate, Archer will recite the classic chant to activate “Unlimited Blade Works,” unleashing a powerful strike against a single enemy and gaining Special Charge. As the battle continues, whenever an ally attacks, Archer can consume this Charge to trigger a Follow-up ATK and restore 1 Skill Point for the team.

Starting from July 11, once the collaboration event begins and until the end of Version 3.6, Trailblazers who log in will be able to claim Archer, the limited 5-star collaboration character, for free. It’s worth mentioning here that the character and Light Cone collab banners will be available long-term after the event starts.

Character re-run, existing characters enhancement, and system optimization

In the first half of Version 3.4, the limited 5-star characters Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle will make their return. In the second half, Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade will also re-run. Several popular existing characters — Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu — will get some serious enhancements. Some Eidolons of these characters will also tweaked to better match their revamped kits, making sure everything stays in sync. Notably, these four characters allow seamless switching between classic and enhanced modes, letting players choose their preferred battle style. Firefly’s new outfit, “Spring Missive,” will also launch soon.

And that’s not all. The long-awaited “skip dialogue” feature, which was previously announced, is finally going live in Version 3.4, letting players freely choose the pace of storytelling based on their own preferences. The much-loved minigame “Origami Bird” will make a strong comeback, adding a touch of lively fun to the update.

That wraps up our preview for Version 3.4. We hope it’s filled you with anticipation for the road ahead —  and remember, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Even more surprises are already underway.
